IV CONFERENCE OF JOVENS EM INVESTIGAÇÃO ARQUEOLÓGICA

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT – CALL FOR SESSIONS

After the undeniable success of the previous editions in Madrid (2008 and 2009) and Barcelona
(2010), the IV Conference of Jovens em Investigação Arqueológica - JIA 2011 will be held at
Campus de Gambelas,, Universidade do Algarve, Faro (Portugal) from 11th to 14th May 2011,
organized by the Núcleo de Arqueologia e Paleoecologia (NAP) da Universidade do Algarve.

The JIA is a scientific event held by and for young researchers (non Ph.D.s’)) in Archaeology. Its
structural lines are essentially

research, intending thereby to promote the development of scientific ideals in the community

the period of acceptance for thematic session proposals (abstracts can be in English, Spanish
or Portuguese).We note that new approaches in theoretical or methodological archeological
issues,, or sessions with a vocation for the discussion and renovation of o archaeological
interpretations will have preference.

are made we’ll contact with applicants so they can organize a session together.

List of authors and paper titles already interested in present a communication in the session.
