    NAVY AND NATIONAL GUARD


    OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC SCOPING MEETINGS

    The Navy, in cooperation with the National Guard Bureau and the Oregon National
    Guard, is in the initial stages of preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
    to evaluate potential environmental effects associated with current and proposed
    military training activities in the airspace above and on the land within the Naval
    Weapons Systems Training Facility Boardman.

    The Navy and National Guard are hosting open house style scoping meetings to
    provide information about the proposed action and to solicit comments about
    environmental impacts to address in the EIS. The public may arrive at any time
    during each scoping meeting. There will be no formal presentation.
