Application # 101

As a current junior, I feel as the past three years at Desert Vista High School

have changed me as an overall person. I came to this school lacking in confidence,

self-esteem and afraid to start a new chapter in my life. These past years have

helped me build strong character, leadership skills as well as being a team player

both inside and outside of school. Now with less than half of my high school years

left, it is time to start thinking more about life after high school and I believe I can

start with that goal by applying to the prestigious National Honor Society club.

Colleges are seeking students that strive to stand out from other students.

Not only are they looking for good grades or test scores but also those who are well-

rounded students. By being in part of NHS, I believe that I can accomplish such goal.

I believe that having the name of such a prestigious club listed in my application will

impress colleges. Aside from creating an impression towards colleges, I also wish to

make a difference by volunteering more in the community and other charitable

services. By being part of such an exclusive club with high expectations, I believe

that it can act as a catalyst towards pushing me to become a better person for the

society.
