CORRECT PRONUNCIATION OF THE ALPHABET

There are 26 letters of the alphabet.


There are 5 vowels:

A E I O U

There are 21 consonants in all.


Consonants can be found either at the start of a word (initial position), medial ( middle
position) or in the end ( final position). Consonants also double, or blend in with other
consonants to become different sounds, or even become totally silent in some cases.

There are 44 sounds in all in the English language.

Note that some American pronunciation can be different from the British pronunciation.
Our aim is to reach a general, standard pronunciation, which is understood and
acceptable world-wide..
