½ DAY SEA KAYAK at EL CACAO LAGOON

Enjoy the mangrove forest site at EL CACAO LAGOON located about 40 min. from La Ceiba,
near Palma Real Hotel. This trip allows you to navigate around the lagoon by paddling
comfortably around on mellow waters for nearly two hours. You will be surrounded by a beautiful
environment, home of howling monkeys and many aquatic birds which usually show up when
the weather is good. After going forth and back along a narrow canal into the mangrove forest
we head towards a wide empty beach to step on this sandy boundary between fresh and salt
water. We use this break to eat a snack on this quite pristine coastal set up, actually not so
different from the one Christopher Columbus must have found on his first arrival to main land
Honduras centuries ago. We finish this break to head back to the small pier where our aquatic
tour ends up. We return to La Ceiba.

Departures: 8:00 and 1.30 pm

Duration: 2 to 3 hours around the Lagoon

Gear: Sea-kayaks or mahogany dugout canoe, life jackets, paddles,
rescue equipment, 1st Aid Kit, bilingual guide
Snacks: Soft drinks, purified water and fruit.
