Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov was a Russian composer.

He was born in
town Tichvin about 200km from Petrohrad. He studied at the School for Mathematical
and Navigational Sciences because of his parents. Despite he studied at the School
of Mathematical he found out that he love music. He started visit to the opera and
orchestral concerts. Later, he became a sea captain.
By the time Rimsky-Korsakov sailed a two-year-and-eight-month on the clipper
(clipper is somthing like big boat) he had composed three symphony. He worked very
hard and he was called padant. When he was young he sailed around the world. He
started study music as 27 years old. After that he became popular and one of the
best composer in all Russia. About 45 years old he became ill(it was angina). The
illness became severe and he could not work. After a few years he died. Composed
mainly 15 operas which most of them were during first time playing canceled by
police.
