It has been learnt from reliable sources that the estimate for the cemented
roads of our pocket has been sanctioned and the work is likely to be started
after the monsoons.
Since there is no drainage system at present to drain out the water which
remains stagnant on almost all the roads and the residents have to experience
great difficulties in walking. Even vehicles like cars, scooters etc. give
bumpy rides. School going children and senior citizens suffer the most.
Recently a pipeline has been laid down along the road between H.No.
1301/28 and 971/28 and about four manholes have been constructed. As per
original proposal, the pipeline was to be extended to the corner of the park,
i.e, upto T-point opposite H.No. 906/28 and 984/28. This was discussed
among the residents, area counselor, Sri Ajay Baisla and Dr. Kaushal Bathla
about for months back.
The residents are surprised to note that the work of laying the pipeline has
been stopped in between, the reason best known to Dr. Bathla. In case this
line was laid till the park near 984/28 as agreed, this pocket would have had
much relief and the bulk of rainy water could have been drained out. Now
this has served no purpose and merely the tax-payer money has been wasted
by the authority concerned.
We the residents of Pocket IV sector-28, therefore request your goodself to
kindly look into the matter and intervene. Also arrange to lay the 8-inch dia.
P.V.C. pipeline all along the roads in each and every lane. The necessary
estimate for this may be got prepared from the authority concerned of the
M.C.F. as early as possible before the construction of cemented roads of the
pocket.
