o HTML

HTML stands for hypertext markup language. It is a predominant markup language for web

pages. It defines the structure and layout of a Web document by using a variety
of tags and attributes. HTML uses markup tags to describe web pages. It is not case sensitive and
can be easily updated after the file is created. Since the development of HTML in the year 1990s
by Tim Berners-Lee, there have been a number of changes and versions. The World Wide
Web Consortium (W3C) maintained these versions since 1996

In HTML all text, graphics, and design elements of a web page are
"tagged" with codes that instruct the web browser how to display the
files. These files are easy to recognize because they contain the file
extension such as 'html' or 'htm
