stranded…
You are the
only survivor
after

a crash.
You find a bag.
You open up the
bag, and inside are
these tools:
Someone must have
left them here.
Whoever left this bag
must have been lost.
Maybe they were
trying to leave the
island, too??!!
Inside the smaller bag with papers and pen
are some maps and a list of clues that looks
like a possible way to find a way home! What
should you open first?
You decide to look
at the list of clues.
This is what the list says:

What would you jump from?

You had better follow
the clues!
Hmmmm… Which
map should you open?
You don’t know which
map would help you.
What do you know
about each map?
Physical maps show natural features,
geography, and places.
Physical maps
primarily help you
navigate.
Would a political map help you navigate?

The pink state

has a small mountain village.

The purple state has

a river and major cities.

The red state has

people along its coast.
Political maps show
people features
and help you
understand groups.
Since the first clue is to figure out where
you are, you should probably open up the
physical map.
Where are you now?

These blue streaks

probably are a river.

These colors and lines These could

Explore the island
with your binoculars.

Does what you see

look like anything
on the physical map?
You can see the mountains
in the distance.
The ocean is behind you.
and you must be in a bay.
You’re
nowhere
near a river.
If blue is water,
then this could be
the bay you’re in.

These are
probably the
mountains in
the distance.
You are here.
The next clue says
to go to the capital.

“ Go to the
waterfall.”
Since the waterfall is a point of interest,
looks like you need the physical map again!

where you
need to go.
