incorporate power electronic products for rugged military environments. - Evaluate design requirements and advise lead engineers on mechanical engineering aspects of new and modified designs. - Develop mechanical structures and assemblies with full consideration of component tolerances to ensure consistent manufacture. - Analyse the effects of heat, vibration, shock and acceleration to ensure the design performs as specified under all conditions. - Analyse and resolve mechanical, thermal, interface, drawing and procedural problems on products as required. - Work in conjunction with the lead engineer and predict, analyse and measure the thermal performance of electronic equipment. - Investigate and solve mechanical production problems concerning jigs and tooling. - Liaise with Quality Assurance on the resolution of problems during inspection stages. - Update drawings, Bills of Materials and other relevant documentation as required. - Ensure the configuration control practices are maintained, in line with appropriate standards. - Comply with company Health & Safety policies.
