Full HD movie shooting capability in AVCHD format produces superb HD Movies. Users can shoot beautiful HD movies, activating AVCHD Full HD (1920 x 1080, SOil movie shooting via a simple one-press operation. Employing the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 codec, which is more than twice as efficient in compressing data as the MPEG-21MPEG-4 codec; which allows higher frame rates and higher bit rate to record, and provides smoother movies than other cameras without HD video recording capability.

TXS is the first waterproof T Series Cyber-shot, exhibiting excellent water resistance and usable in water 3 m deep continuously for up to 60 minutes. TXS has passed the dropping tests at the height of 1.S m, which is set to be the height of the photo taking.

Seamless integration of PMB with GPS and Compass functions

This is the world's first digital camera to incorporate GPS and Compass functions together. When outdoors, users can display current geographical coordinates. This data can be appended to photos and movies, adding to user enjoyment especially after overseas trips. In addition, the GPS function automatically adjusts the camera's internal clock by just selecting the travelling area, freeing users from the hassle of setting the time manually when travelling to different time zones. During playback, this function also displays the time a photo or movie was taken. The Compass function shows the direction the camera is pointed when shooting.

Backlight Correction HDR

Backlight Correct HDR makes it easy to obtain more evenly exposed photos in backlit situations. This advanced function takes two photos at different exposures, then automatically overlaps them. The end result is a photo exhibiting a wide dynamic range that more closely resembles what the human eye sees. Backlight Correct HDR reduces whiteout and blackout, reproduces more details in dark areas and preserves delicate gradations in highlights.
