1. Create a folder named flexlm under your c: drive. 2. Save your license.dat file in the flexlm folder. 3. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel. 4. With the Control Panel Window in focus, double click on the icon labeled 'Sys tem'. 5. In the 'Systems Properties' dialog left click on the 'Advanced' page tab. 6. Left click on the 'Environment Variables' button. 7. Left Click on the top most 'New' button. 'New User Variable' should be visibl e. 8. In the 'Variable Name' field type: LM_LICENSE_FILE. 9. In the 'Variable Value' field type: c:\flexlm\licensenew.dat 10. Click OK. 11. Left Click on the top most 'New' button. 'New User Variable' should be visib le. 12. In the 'Variable Name' field type: SYNPLICITY_LICENSE_FILE 13. In the 'Variable Value' field type: c:\flexlm\licensenew.dat 14. Click OK. 15. The 'Environment Variables' dialog should now be in focus -> click OK.
