Reflection 2

As a creative and imaginative teacher to be, what i learnt from last week’s
activity (mirror activity) is that teachers should be a good model for their students
and students imitate the way we teachers do something.They give importance to
what we say and as a result, they become copies of us easily. The reason why you
make us do this activity is,I think you tried to teach that if the class don’t behaves
appropriately, it may be our faults as teachers.

In finger activity, we followed the way our partner moves his finger. It was
some kind of “keeping up” activity,I think.This is applicable to ELT because we can
teach “these,those,this,that..” , directions or imperatives by using it.

In the last activity we read poems and the main reason for doing this activity
is to highlight the importance of voice in ELT. A monotonuos voice or an unqualified
use of voice will lead to irritation or it may hinder learning.Using voice effectively
also shows the enthusiasm of the teacher;thus, students get eager.Eagerness is
contagious,I think 
