Towers

(Student Instructions for Office versions prior to 2007)

1. Open the TowerTemplate.ppt file according to your teacher’s instructions.

2. Give each of the four sections of the diagram an appropriate title by inserting
WordArt at the top of the section above the text box for the main body text.
(Insert WordArt by clicking
on the WordArt tool in the
Drawing toolbar).

3. Add text to the first bulleted section of the diagram. To do this, click in the
existing text placeholder and simply start typing.

4. If a bulleted list is desired, click on the bullets

button found on the Formatting toolbar.

5. Enter text using your planning sheet as a guide.

6. To change the vertical positioning of

your text, first click inside the text box
then navigate to Format  Placeholder.
Select the Text Box tab, then choose
the text anchor point desired.

Note: As you add more text, the table

cell will continue to grow, even all the
way off the slide. Keep your text short and concise. You may decrease the font
size if necessary.

7. Continue adding text to the other three sections.

8. Insert, resize, and position Clip Art on the

bottom four squares as desired.
9. Once completed, print the page as a slide.
