A MEMORY GAME

by ALEXANDRU ALINA MIHAELA

My childhood has become nothing but memories

Kept in cages locked by the passing time.
It erases everything we care about,
Being a child where there was no fighting.

Your soul is crying,wanting back

That age of slowness, of tranquility
When you used to play, laughter all around,
When you used to be free, and never sad.

Childhood is fire, and it is also an ocean,

A second and an eternity,
Plunging into memories is a sweet-sour game,
Tears and smiles are like twins on your face.
