Entrepreneurs Featured In New Business Book Series

(West Harrison, NY) “Small business is alive and well but struggling to stay that way,”
according to business journalist Dave Donelson. The Harrison, NY, writer recently launched a
series of books based on his interviews with entrepreneurs and company managers. The first
book, The Dynamic Manager’s Guide To Marketing & Advertising, was released in November.

“Business owners need all the help they can get these days. They know they can learn a ton from
each other,” Donelson says, “so I combed through thousands of interviews I conducted during
the last ten years, distilled the key concepts, and organized them into topics that match the skill
sets of successful entrepreneurs.” Subsequent books in the series will cover personal selling,
motivating employees, and financial strategies.

Auto dealers, nursery retailers, hardware stores, custom cabinet makers, and art galleries are
among the dozens of business categories Donelson covers. He also interviewed home builders,
insurance agents, realtors, ski resort operators, clothing manufacturers, custom car builders, and
gift basket designers among many others while on assignment for numerous national business
and trade magazines.

The Dynamic Manager books include case studies of individual companies as well as advice
Donelson gleaned from managers handling matters like customer service, pricing, social media
marketing, and competing with big box stores and online retailers. “I wanted to offer advice
from the real world,” Donelson says, “rather than just the theories and platitudes you find in so
many business how-to books.” He adds, “It’s the nitty-gritty details that make the books a
valuable resource.”

Donelson examines business operations with an expert’s eye. Before he “retired” to become a
fulltime writer in 2000, he was an entrepreneur and management consultant investing in and
managing several successful companies during a thirty-year career. He’s the author of four
books and a regular contributor to The Christian Science Monitor, Family Business Magazine,
and dozens of national trade publications.

The Dynamic Manager’s Guide To Marketing & Advertising is available in multiple editions
including trade paperback, ebook, and audio book available from all major book sellers. The
book has three sections, one on marketing, one about advertising, and a third detailing 23 sales
