COMMUNICATION & TRANSPORTATION

Communication is the process to impart information from a sender to a receiver with the use of
a medium or technology. Communication requires that all parties have an area of communicative
commonality. Communication is very important for individuals to start a good relationship because it
connects people.

In Barangay Poblacion, their way of communication with the community is though the Block Leaders of
each of the different blocks in the barangay. According to a barangay official, when they have an
announcement to give, they set a meeting with the different block leaders and after that, it’s the
responsible of the block leaders to disseminate the message with their block members.

Most of the people of the said barangay use cell phones as a device to communicate with other
people in their barangay. The dialect used in the barangay is tagalong as their universal language of the
barangay.

In terms of their transportations, pedicabs, tricycles and motorcycles were used for them to be
able to go to the places in the barangay. It’s also the barangay’s ways to earn income for their family
because most of the residents have this transportation.
