    2011 Meetings

    January 27 - Environmental writer/author Craig Pittman will discuss his book, Manatee
    Insanity: Inside the War over Florida's most famous endangered species.
    February 24 - Swallow-tailed Kites and Short-tailed Hawks are the subject of this lecture
    by Ken Meyer and Gina Kent of the Avian Conservation Research Institute.
    March 24 - "Critters, Cows and Cowboys: A photographic exploration into the wildlife
    and work of a Florida cattle ranch," a talk by Bob Montanaro of the Pelican Island
    Audubon Society.
    (*) April - Date and specifics to be announced - This will be an outdoor event that
    replaces the monthly meeting at the Community Activity Center.
    (*) May - Annual Picnic. Date to be determined.
