Outline of a speech (informative)

Title: Pimples

Specific Purpose:

 To inform my audience about causes of pimples, types of pimples, and its treatments.

Central Idea:

 Pimples are common thing that happen to almost each person which went through teenager
stage but still there are some peoples who does not get pimples.

Main Points:

I. Acne occur when there are changes of hormones in our body during we reach puberty, that
why it always associate with teenagers.
1. Usually it happen when there are overproduction of sebum under skin and futher
infection from bacteria.
2. Bacteria’s infection also may cause swelling and bulging.
II. There are several types of pimples, but Acne Vulgaris and Acne Rosacea are the most
common types that ‘attack’ teenagers.
1. There are also another types of pimples such as Conglobata, Fulminans, Pyoderma
Faciale, Gram-Negative Folliculitis and Nodulocystic.
2. Acne and pimples are almost the same but it classified by the number of the pimples
and the areas of the pimples.
III. There were many ways to get rid of pimples, but do not ever pop it right away.
1. If you just pop the pimples, it may leave a scar at your face.
2. You can get rid of pimples without seeing an expert, simply just do a small surgical
by preparing a small sewing needle, an alcohol, some band-aid and warm water.
3. There were many type of medicines that can be used, but it depend on the skin type
of the users.
4. Usually, many people are advise to use product that contain Benzoyl Peroxide or
Salicylic Acid but it depend how bad the pimples are.
5. You also can simply have balance diet on your meal, and advise to drink a lot of
water.
