Step 1 … use ruler to find central points for the

spine of the dvd. Fill in the area black for the time
being.

Step 2 … take screen shot from Google

maps, of one end of a street looking up,
place it into adobe photoshop, and add an
effect to it. Giving it a more hand drawn feel,
with smoother lines between the
colours.

Step 3 … take a screen shot of the same

street from the other end of the street. Use
it into photoshop and add the same effect to
it as the front cover panel. Again, to create a
more hand drawn feel, with smoother lines
between the colours.
Step 4 … add a pin light effect to both
panels of my outer case for the dvd-
digipak. Make it a lighter colour to the
original image, helping it to stand out.

Step 5 … use a handwritten style

font for the titling down the spine of
the cover so that it adds to the hand
drawn effect of the designed
‘drawings’.

Step 6 … Duplicate the

handwritten font style for the
main titling on the front panel of
the design. Use a darker green,
with bold font, and of a greater
size so it stands out against the
brighter background of the
picture.
