VOLUME-PLANNING SOLUTIONS FOR BUILDINGS IN THE FIRST

LINE FOR NOISE-SAFE BUILDING

N. Nikolov
Abstract
With the distribution of noise in city environment arise acoustic occurances like the
diffraction of sound from the angles of the buildings in the first line, the reflection of sound from
the buildings in the second line etc., which are connected with the different constructional
solutions.
The results of the appling of acoustic models at different volume-planning solutions allow
some recommendations to be made.
1. Buildings parallel to the transport stream are effective means for reduction of the
transport noise it towns. In these buildings the windows of the rooms, where a lower noise level
is required, have to be orientated to the “yard”.
2. The intervals between the painted out buildings have to be minimum according to the
urban-planning standards.
3. At the architectural-spatial solution of the inner space free builtup is recommended.
4. The projecting of -shaped buildings allows to be regulated the noise regime thanks to
the high screening effect of the buildings.
