Martin Luther King “I have a dream”

The speech takes place at Washington D.C. on August 28th, 1963.

The problem is that the black people did not have rights or place on US.
There were blacks who weren’t proud of being American, because there
was nothing but discrimination. And in some American states, black
couldn’t vote, and at others, like New York, blacks could, but they didn’t,
because they believed they had nothing for which to vote. Martin Luther
King wanted to tell Black people to go catch their rights and go for it, and
the day they reached it, they had to use it right, and black people has to
work together with white ones because every men are created equal, and
working together it is not a dream but a reality that they could change
America situation.

“There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is
granted his citizenship rights”

King Jr. said that because if Blacks hadn’t guaranteed their rights,
American would probably see strikes or protests, and sure the African-
American people wouldn’t like not having what they were meant to have
since the day the American constitution was written.
