In our Fistory we have designed and built parachutes from four inches (stabilizing systems for objects in free-fall) 1 up to 64 feet in diameter. The Strong tandem skydiving system rev- clutionized sport parachuting around the worl We are the oldest and largest manufactur- cer of general aviation parachute equipment in the United States, and our world-wide market includes emergency parachutes for pilots and airerew members, skydiving assembles, tandem parachutes for train- ing, military troop and special forces equip- ment, a8 well as other engineered textile specialty products The Strong brand name is recognized around the world, You can find Strong products at nearly every airport, military installation and. parachute and skydiving center. Our products have flown on the early, pioneering space shutle missions {and our systems are part of the planned exploration of Mars Special Capabilities ‘Strong Enterprises specializes in being ‘able to provide unique solutions to chal- lenging aerial delivery problems. ‘Our more than 40 years of experience Capabilities: Unlike most parachute companies that make only a single component such as a hamess or a canopy, we are a full-line, full service manufacturer. Beginning with raw ‘materials of cloth, wabbing and cord, our Capabilities and expertise expanded from ‘component parts to harnesses, containers, round canopies, and ram air “square” cano- pies and reserves: along the way, we added ripcords, ring slots and ribbon chutes. If it can be sewn or jumped, we can do it Facilities: We excel because we are more than just a sewing or riggers’ shop: we design, test and fabricate parachutes as complete systems and we do ital under one root. Using our specialized 1-, 2-,3-, and 4-nee- dle sewing machines, including automatic, ‘computerized, and heavy duly machines, ‘we've made everything from one-off proto- types to production runs of thousands, In many cases our licensed parachute rig- gers assemble and pack the system so it is ready for use upon receipt by the cus- tomer. (Our FAA-approved cuality contro! system meets the requirements of FAR Part 21 and IMIL--45208, (Our staff includes several experienced per- sonnel with more than 25 years experience in making, rigging and using parachutes. Factory tours can be arranged. The cargo may be delivered by: a) landing with the parachutist, b) being released into free-fall at a speci- fied altitude (750 ft or greater), c) the parachutist and opened by static line, Deser The MTTB is a manually operate para- chute cargo delivery system fitted with 2 30-foot diameter canopy. The canopy is directly connected to the payload by a tether harness, with a swivel device in- orporated to prevent twists, The cargo harness secures the payload with five lateralstrapsandtwolongitudinalstraps, The straps can be quickly removed from the tether by the barrel hamess quick-release box. Additional straps are provided for a cruisebox container. Range of Operatior Normal free-fall parachute operation al limitations apply with the MTTB. Thore are no altitude or speed restric tions, although opening altitudes are generally higher for additional safety, Trainin Miltary free-fall qualified parachutists can be trained in the operation and use of the MTTB system in conjunction with Strong Enterprise's Dual Hawk Tandem System. f System complete with: Barrel Hamess, 1a, 280010-4 Longitudinal sirap assy, i ea. 280010-B Lateral strap, 5 0a, "280010-C. Although aerial delivery by para- chute is not new, air drops with ram-air parachutes Is a recent development, Our rapid aerial delivery technique uti lizes a small steerable ram-air drogue (RAD) parachute that is static-line de- ployed upon exit from the aircraft, Tak- Ing advantage of the ram-air drogue technique significantly increases the speed of descent of the cargo over con- ventional drops yet controls the stability and lateral movement of cargo. Upon Teaching a predetermined altitude, an activation device releases a large pilot chute that in turn extracts one or more large conventional round recovery parachutes (RP) that lower the cargo to the ground in the traditional manner. S% Enterprises’ development The rapid rate of descent under the small steerable ram-air drogue consid- erably reduces time in the air, translat- ing into less exposure for the cargo, while minimizing wind drift effect and permitting more precise targeting. The ability to precisely drop cargo from a higher and safer altitude substantially increases the safety of aircraft as well Designated the “SCREAMER’ (Patent Pending), our concept of a small ram- air drogue with a GPS guidance system is compatible and easily combined with most existing cargo configurations, Re- quiring relatively minor modifications, the SCREAMER concept introduce stand-off capability to presently existin cargo configurations. The advantages of the Pocket G-12 are reduced weight (39 lbs vs. 125 libs) and much reduced ack volume (2,430 cu in, vs. 10,912 cu in), all while delivering virtually identical performance. This weight and size sav- Ings translates to higher cargo weights, Saving time and resources. ‘The Strong Enterprises Pocket G12 was designed originally for use as a re- covery parachute for the SCREAMER Precision Cargo Delivery System. After many months ‘of development work on the The SCREAMER using the conventional GFE G-12s, Strong Enterprises found considerable weight could be saved with @ newer modem designed para- chute. The reduced weight and volume of the Pocket G-12 allow for much eas- ier assembly and rigging, and can even be packed by one person.
