STATEMENTS:

CONDITIONAL- it has a HYPOTHESIS and


CONCLUSION.

- IF-THEN form

IF CLAUSE - hypothesis or condition.

THEN CLAUSE- conclusion.

ex. direct statement.(original sentence)

DILIGENT STUDENTS GET GOOD GRADES. *find the


subject(hypothesis & conclusion) predicate
-Diligent students as the subject-

CONDITIONAL STATEMENT:

IF students are diligent, THEN they get good grades.

IMPLICATIONS:

CONVERSE- interchanging the hypothesis and


conclusion.(exchange the hypothesis & conclusion)

ex. IF students get good grades, THEN they are


diligent.

INVERSE- negate the hypothesis & conclu.(just put


Not or No)

ex. IF students are NOT diligent, THEN they CANNOT


get good grades.(base it from the direct statement)
CONTRAPOSITIVE- interchanging the negation.(just
copy the converse & put Not or No)

ex. IF students CANNOT ger good grades,THEN they


are NOT diligent.
