Definitions
• Correlation: a mutual relationship between
two or more variables.

• Positive Correlation: as the value of one


variable increases, so does the other.

• Negative Correlation: as the value of one


variable increases, the other decreases.

• No Correlation: the variables have no


relationship with each other.

Definitions
• Scatter plot: a type of line graph used to
identify correlations between variables.

• A scatter plot has two axes, showing one


set of data along the x-axis and another
along the y-axis. It combines these
values into single data points.
