Functioning of multinational organizations hinge on intercultural communication

and cooperaton. But the basic values of a multinational organization are determi
ned by the nationality and personality of its founder(s) and later significant l
eaders. The values and the beliefs of the home culture are takn for granted and
servesa as a reference frame even for a person from other nations who make caree
rs in that organizations. This trend is very distinctly seen in the Indian IT co
mpanies. though they are multinational in operaton, the root culture is purely I
ndian and employees from other countries sometimes find it difficult to adjust t
o this culture which is foreign to them.
