Nulear Mishaps

Energy crisis is the talk of our country. The rate of consumption of

energy is increasing at a faster phase than the rate of population growth. So
the authorities are exploring the possibilities of tapping the nation’s
resources to meet this crisis. One of their steps is setting up of Nuclear
Power Stations. In India Nuclear Reactors have been set up in seven places.
When we think of the other side it disheartens us.

There is the danger of the world getting polluted and the people
getting affected by nuclear wastes. The radiation causes cancer in man. In
1957 people developed cancer in England.In 1961 three people become
victims to malfuncationing of reactors. The worse of it happened in
Chernobyl on April 26,1986.The malfunction of coolent consumed 31 lives,
contaminated thousands of tons of food and made 100 square miles of land
unfit for cultivation.

We need power as well as manpower through nuclear energy is the

alternative source for powet.It is the duty of a nation to reduce the inherent
dangers of nuclear reactors and save the lives of the people.
