To Ms. Oliver:
I recently saw a posting on the British Horse Society’s website for a Groom/Instructor/Rider for
Quob Stables. Please consider me for the position. I was impressed with Quob’s level of
qualification within the BHS system. I recognize the level of organization and pride associated
with being a Training and Exam centre and feel that my experiences and education with horses
can benefit your Stable’s performance. I have completed all of the levels leading up to and
including the PTT level training in my riding experience.
You will find I have gained experience with horses through my internship duties. Though I grew
up riding Hunter/Jumper horses in the United States circuits, this internship introduced me to
the barn management and instructional aspect. Through giving over 200 group lessons to over
100 riders, I have established a successful method to giving informational and enjoyable lessons
to riders of all ages.
I also organized and managed the NDSU Horse Fair, which required months of preparation,
communication, and planning for the two-day event. This event required frequent work with
other students and managing of all attendees to the Fair. I worked closely with others putting
together goals which we worked together to achieve. Group work and skills is an essential task
for Quob Stables, and one I have mastered.
In addition, my educational courses in Equine Studies have helped me prepare for a variety of
tasks that are required at Quob Stables. I have formally learned management of both Equine
and the facilities. This includes but is not limited to first aid, lesson preparation, grounds and
field management, and business management.
Thank you for your time and consideration for this position. I would like the opportunity to
further explain my experiences and fulfillment in the Equine Industry. Please call me at
(815)355.3454.
Sincerely,
Nichole Chapel
