The other day I was sharing a moment of relief with my colleagues, and discussing gossips and rumors.

Suddenly I quoted one of the sayings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and I was shocked by the
response of most of the youth there. I got stunned by knowing that they are against the ideology of
Pakistan. The ideology, which was the base of ‘Pakistan Movement’. For which our great leaders fought
against Hindus and British. For which our grandparents sacrificed their lives. The ideology, which is the
soul of our survival as a nation.

They don’t see any advantage in the creation of Pakistan, they criticize Quaid-e-Azam, and Allama
Muhammad Iqbal and also blame them for being the thinker and founder of Pakistan. They don’t feel
that Pakistan is an independent country; in their opinion Pakistan is a colony of World’s Super Powers.

Being a patriot Pakistani I could not digest their views at first, I feel really grave that if our youth thinks
like that, then what our future will be? And the gloomiest part was their views about our great leaders
Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. They accounted them for our present catastrophe.

But then I realized that what has done this unemployment corruption and terrorism to our Pakistani
youth? Do we have the security of first degree citizen? Are we enjoying the freedom given by the
constitution of Pakistan? No, this is the answer that frustrates not only the youth but every-one. We
could not give a strong and transparent system to our youngsters, which they can follow with full liberty.
We are looming between Islam and Modernism even after the sixty-three years of our creation. We do
not know which education system should be followed. Despite being Muslims, we do not believe in
equality. Are we free from Cast system? Have we given up language differences? Have we got rid of
religious extremism within different sects? Rather we are giving them the gifts of corruption, terrorism,
insecurity and unemployment. Then how can we expect that our youth would think positively.

If we’ll remain fail to find questions to these answers, we shall lose our youth. Youth happens to be the
backbone of a country and also a power to rely upon. They are the pride of the nation. It is very
necessary to grow them in positive and optimistic atmosphere, so they can prove themselves like Rashid
Minhas.
