SETI is in reality “Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence”. SETI was invited in 1960 in America.

The
Institute comprises 3 centers, the Center for SETI Research, the Carl Sagan Center for the Study of
Life in the Universe and the Center for Education and Public. There are many projects in SETI like
Allen Telescope Array or Phoenix project … Ect

These projects consist in detecting signals of the extraterrestrials. Searchers emit a signal and listen
to the waves electromagnetic to see if the extraterrestrials answer or not. They emit the signals since
many antennas like this photo which represents one hectare of antenna. This park of antenna is in
California.

The park of antennas is composted on the first phase to 42 antennas (6.1 meters in diameter). When
completed, the array is expected to consist of 350 antennas. Searchers can watch a million stars in
search of signals d extraterrestrial. This global project is worth 25 million dollars.

SETI is a big organization because they have got many sponsors as the NASA or the URSA

I did not think that the human can send signal in the universe to look if the extraterrestrials exist or
not.
