 Started in November 1994(Equity market)
 Had overtaken BSE (Asia’s oldest stock exchange) within 2yrs
of its incorporation.
 Derivative segment started in June 2000(F&O)
 Combined daily turnover approx over 1,00,000cr/day.
 As on today there are 225 scripts.
 In last 7 yrs all pay in and pay out was completed
successfully. No defaults.
How to invest?

 Open an account with the broker.

To open an account you need-


PAN number
Bank Statements
Identity proof (driving license)
Address proof (Passport)

 Future & Options (F&O)


CASH and Intra Day

Cash(Delivery):
 Min no. of shares is 1
 If delivery is taken it should be settled by payment next day.

Cash (Intra day):


 Min no. of shares-1
 No delivery takes place.
 Buying/Selling position should equal to contra position at the
end of the day.
 Can sell before buying.
FUTURE & OPTIONS

 Can be bought/sold only in LOTS.


 Stocks can be held for 3 months.
 Pay margin for holding stocks which is decided by NSE.
 Mark to Market (M to M).
 Last Thursday of each month is settlement day.
BULLISH OR BEARISH

 If prices of stocks continue


to rise it is referred to as a
"bull market."

 For "Bear market" it is


exactly the opposite of bull

Upward or Downward Trend??

It generally depends on-


 FII’s and DII’s
 Global Markets (Mainly US &UK)
 Political news and Government policies.
 Speculators/operators-have inside information of a company.
CONCLUSION

 Long term investment(1-3yrs) is a better option than short


term investment(0-3months).

 For e.g.: if u have Rs100 then Rs 80 for long term and rest for
short term because recently in last 5 trading sessions market
corrected (crashed) downward 5000 points which resulted in
major loss for short term investors losing almost their entire
capital invested into stocks.

 So be a long term investor…
