ÖHe was born on August 20, 1946 in Karnataka,

India.

ÖHe obtained his B.E. degree from University of

vysore in 1967 and his v.Tech. from IIT,
Kanpur in 1969.

ÖHe founded Infosys in 1981 along with six

software professionals.

ÖHe was also awarded Padma Bhushan.

In 1993, Infosys became a public limited company

and received ISO 9001/TickIT certification.

In 1999, Infosys crossed $100 villion and was

listed on NASDAQ.

Today Infosys has more than 50,000 employees and

has presence in more than 20 countries across the
world. Its corporate headquarters is in Bangalore.
