In exercise of the powers; conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 and sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central Act n of 1948) and "r.n om.cr powers hereunto enabHl1g snd after having consulted with the State Minimum Wages Advisor)' Board, the Governor of Aodhra. COST OF LIV1NG A 1"I.OWANCE :

The m j n im u m bas ic rat C~ U f wages fixed af.~ li n k ed to the Coos umer Pr icc J nd ex N urn bers for the T no II str ial workers at 502 points (Base Year 19R2'= 100 series). The Commissioner of Labour shall notify the Cost of Living. Allowance for every six months. i.e., 1 st Apri I" and lst October. For thi~ purpose, the average rise in the State r n d ustri at Workers Con su m e r Price In dex N urnbe rs Yo r ha If year en ding Decem her and J un e respecti vel)' sh 11 II be taken into account. The cost of living allowance for any rise in cost of price index over and above 502 points shall be paid as specified at Col.No. 4 to the schedule against each category.

NOTE:

If any categories employed in this ernploymcn! tire left out, they should not be paid less than the: min imurn rates of wages fixed in the category of the workers, being the same and similar category of work in this employment.

Where piece rate. workers are employed, the remuneration paid 10 each of them for it normal working day shall Hot be less than the minimum wage fixed for .ij general" worker being similar work} calculated on the basis of g hOIl1'R a day.

To arrive at a daily rate, the monthly rate shall be divided by 26, which includes the rest day wages.

Where the nature of work is the same. no discrimination on the payment of minimum rates of wages should

. be made in respect of male "and female workers,

If any category of employees not included in this scheduled employment. shall be paid same notified wage of the similar categories in aT1y other scheduled employment. If the same category IS existed in more than one employment the higher wage should be paid,
