“Call It A Fight” by PB

(It looked better in my notebook.)

I. What can be measured in harmonies broken,

In dreams and their stars stretching all ‘cross the sky?

A mirror, a key or a cavalry charge

Off a ledge in to blue and the rocks in your eyes.

Refrain: Tell me all your bad plans, ‘cause I’ve got bad advice;

Yeah, we’ve all lit fires that just last one night.

Hearts out of the fire and into the sand-

(Yeah,) that’s why they call it a fight. [III- It’s time to call it a fight.]

II. See you cross the room with that one with that gleam;

I think you just don’t look that happy to me.

I’ve seen all their tricks thinking I can do better,

Your chest might be burning if I were your fire (your steam)

Bridge: You push her, she pulls you,

She’s everything, fools you-

A kindred soul looking for love.

Here take this old bungee jump in to the blue,

And someone will catch you-

Your souls they may fuse.

III. Ashes are smoking- the rain’s coming down,

Pulls you to its chest with bright eyes and a frown.

Her hair is the water that runs down your face,

Your tears are her sorrows… you both have a place.
