I was very excited to see your advertisement to fill a loan officer position on the ND Workforce
Connection website. As a recently graduated agriculture economics major from North Dakota
State University, I am looking forward to helping production agriculturalists with their financing
needs. Coming from a farm and ranch background, I feel most comfortable with a company such
as yours that works directly with producers to figure the best way to meet their goals for the
future.

In order to develop a background in agriculture lending, I have received a Bachelor of Science

degree in agriculture economics from North Dakota State University. I have taken courses in
agribusiness management that have given me knowledge of how to use financial documents of a
business to make important decisions. My courses in accounting have also prepared me for
keeping record of finances. I have been able to develop knowledge of the world’s economic
system by taking micro and macroeconomics classes.

I have spent the majority of my life living and working on the family farm and ranch. Because of
this, I have come to know the importance of financial planning. I have learned how important it is
to make timely decisions that work towards the goals of the operation. This work experience has
also made me a responsible, hard-working individual who holds a strong passion for production
agriculture. I understand the wants and needs of producers that I may come to help, if employed
with your company.
