Dear Miss Enger,

The progress on my report is going very well. I have acquired all the information
that I feel I need to complete my informational pamphlet of Glyphosate resistance.
Glyphosate resistance is beginning to become a problem in the farming world.
Glyphosate or better known as Round Up is a herbicide that kills any plant that is
not resistant to it. Farmers today plant crops that are resistant to Glyphosate such
as soybeans, corn, and sugar beets in hopes of eliminating unwanted plants and
weeds. Over the past ten to fifteen years Glyphosate has made farmer’s lives a lot
easier and has also boosted yields in the field, but now agronomists out there that
are now finding weeds that have become resistant to the herbicide.

Over the long weekend I hope to get all my information organized and narrowed
down to what I want to include in my pamphlet. After I have organized all the
information I am going to begin laying out my pamphlet. I feel that the lay out of the
pamphlet is going to be my biggest challenge. I plan to deal with this challenge by
getting a couple of opinions from my fellow Ag class mates that are farmers, which is
going to be my target reader. I am also going to get their opinions on what kind of
visuals they would like to see in my pamphlet. I also plan to get a little more
information from some professionals in this area.

To conclude my individual project is going very well, I feel that I am right on

schedule and I feel that should have no problem completing this project on time
