Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss
Hon’ble Union Health Minister
Chamber No.348, Nirman Bhawan,
New Delhi -110 011

Dear Sir,
I feel elated to learn about the steps taken by you to eliminate the use of
tobacco and steps to make the availability of good medical services to the rural
poor. But it is baffling me to learn that you are an advocate of reservation in
the prestigious institutions of the country like AIIMS which is a self defeating
step and against the interest of the poor . Sir, would you like to be reserved
yourself to be looked after only by the reserved category doctors and built your
homes by the such architects etc.
Sir, I would be pleased to have your kind opinion about that , or else to whom
they look after because mighty and influential have the privilege to be served by
the good available consultants in the country or in the world as I have heard that
so and so minister or mighty people have gone to USA or somewhere else for his
treatment . Please think , by reservation to whom we want to benefit , in real
sense we are leaving the those very poor people on the mercy of sub standard
service for the benefit of very few.
Sir, for a moment think whether the God gives good brains to upper casts/rich
people or poor brains to the poor , of course the reply is bigger NO. However
the opportunities with one may vary according to the circumstance of one
particular person
Thus in case we really wish for the benefit of poor and needy and so called down
graded castes or religions , we should open too many good schools upto higher
secondary for very those people ( moreover for every citizen) , in which the
education and other facilities should be free and every body should have equal
access to good education at the cost of the State in respective of the lack of
resources so that every body should have equal opportunity to perform and complete
which will not only benefit to these people but to the whole country . And so far
private institutions are concerned they should be bound to reserve the seats for
the needy and poor upto higher secondary level from the first class so that they
should be made available equal opportunities to compete and selection for other
stucents be made compulsory by random system .
I trust that you will take into consideration of my concern in good spirit and
make me wiser with your kind words.
Regards

Krishan Singla
