The syllabus for the written examination will be generally in

conformity with the educational standards and/or technical qualifi


cations prescribed for the posts.Questions will be of objective type wit
h multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to General Awarene
ss, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning and Technical Ability for the
post

For starters, there are the regular B-schools, the ones that offer a general MBA
(master's or diploma). These include the state-level MATs (in Karnataka it is h
eld twice a year), AIMA (the All-India Management Association), JMET (for admiss
ion to Indian Institutes of Technology the Indian Institute of Science has repor
tedly scrapped its management course) and entrances to Narsee Monjee Institute o
f Management Sciences (NMIMS), Indian School of Business, entrance conducted by
the Faculty of Management Studies at Delhi University, SNAP (the Symbiosis Natio
nal Aptitude Test) and the XAT (conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (
XLRI), Jamshedpur, to name a few. Each of these is a brand by itself. The more s
pecialised courses include the postgraduate management programmes offered at the
Institute of Rural Management, IIFT (the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade offe
rs International Business) and MICA (Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad
).
