Unicameral Parliamentary System of Government: a Better Government for the
Philippines

THESIS STATEMENT
Unicameral parliamentary system of government is a better government for the
Philippines because it has better capacity of ensuring accountability in governance, it
has equitability in distribution of political powers, and it prevents gridlock and promotes
a cooperative relationship between the executive and legislative in policymaking.

THREE QUESTIONS
I. Why is accountability in governance ensured in this system of government?
II. In this form of government, why is the distribution of political powers
equitable?
III. Why this government prevents gridlock and promotes a cooperative
relationship between the executive and legislative in policymaking?
