Here I would like to introduce myself and, shortly, to express my views about the course of

teaching methods, as well as my expectations of it.

First of all, my name is Marija Balic and I am from Herceg-Novi . I am 23 years old. I have

decided to take up English language - teaching course as my future profession, because I have

been always attracted to work with children, or work with people in general. I think that the work

of professors has the crucial importance for the further development of young people, and that it

inculdes a lot of work, patience and dedication.

As for methodology, I hope my professors will help me to crystallize my views on the profession

and that they will focus me on how best to highlight my skills and qualities to achieve in this

noble profession.I hope that my professors will be knowledgeable about the materials for the

course and subject area and that they will enjoy bringing their professional experiences to the

classroom. I also expect the professor to be very professional and considerate of all students in

the classroom, because that is maybe the main skill I am interested in achieving – to learn how to

dedicate myself to each student individually.

Speaking of methods of teaching, I believe it is very useful to teach in school in a playful way

and to use games as a method of teaching. Unfortunately, games are not so used in our schools..

Anyway, this method fascinates me, because I think children will be more motivated to

participate in lessons if we apply this method. So, I really hope I will have an opportunity to use

them in the future on my own lessons. *
