ABSTRACT
This research paper is an attempt to study the employee personality and ethical
behavior using data mining technique for mining the recruitment process. Does th
e demographic and other observed data related to employee affect his work ethics
in a given organization? It is an attempt to develop and enhance work ethics sy
stems and helping the decision makers to appoint the right employee and steer gr
owth of the organization. This research paper will study and analyze the employe
e personality factors (attributes, social behavior) that may affect his recruitm
ent, continuation of job and renewing of contract after the stipulated period. F
or this purpose data mining is used for mining employee related data. The rule g
eneration process is based on the decision tree as a classification method. The
generated rules will be studied and evaluated using different personality assess
ment methods thus predicting whether the employee contract will be renewed or ca
ncelled based on his ethical behavior. This work also developed a system that co
uld be used by the decision makers before recruitment of employees based on the
generated rules from the classification algorithm. This work also developed spec
ial software for mining the recruitment process which may be applicable on any s
uch organization.
