Amy MacDonald [born August 25th 1987 in Glasgow, Scotland] is a Scottish singer-
songwriter. Amy's lyrics are often written in a typical pop style. She has state

'This Is The Life' is the No.1 debut album by Amy Macdonald. Taking her musical
cues from Travis, The Libertines and Razorlight, the album brims with well-craft
ed songs sung passionately.The album was released on July 30th 2007 in the UK on
Vertigo Records. The first single from the album was 'Poison Prince' [a limited
release], while the debut first full single was the sucessful 'Mr. Rock and Rol
l'. The following singles 'L.A.', and 'This Is the Life' have all charted reason
ably well in the UK. The confirmed fourth single is 'Run', and is scheduled for
release in the UK on March 3rd 2008. As of December 16th 2007, over 300,000 copi
es have been sold in the UK, certifying it Platinum. On January 13th 2008 the al
bum jumped five places to the No.1 spot on the official UK Albums Chart and at t
he time of writing [February 21st 2008] remains in the top ten at No.7. The fina
l track of the album contains a hidden track 'Caledonia', which I have extracted
