acquainted with symptoms and treatment options. In spondylosis, the
symptoms of pain which range from mild to severe to crippling – usually
depend on which part of the spine is affected. Symptoms may include;

hands, fingers; neck or shoulder stiffness, tenderness or numbness; tingling in neck,
shoulders, arms, hands, or fingers; headache in the back of your head and a loss of
balance.

bowel problems (which may occur if the spinal cord is compressed).

In spondylitis, symptoms vary depending on the type. In Ankylosing the spinal joints
(vertebrae) get inflamed, leading to chronic pain. Juvenile Spondyloarthropathy
(arthritisterised before the age of 16) is characterized by pain and inflammation in the
lower body joints (pelvis, hips, knees and ankles). In those with Psoriatic Arthritis, the
symptoms of arthritis occur with Psoriasis.

TREATMENT

Methods of treatment are usually conventional and drug-based, though not without side
effects. Hence, many people have turned to non-invasive alternatives such as therapeutic

intractable pain, or progressive symptoms that don’t improve with conservative therapy.
