This week I was on the stage to perform my presentation.

It was a fascinating experience

because I was in the place where I liked much to be, and I was doing something which I liked to do.

First, I paid attention to be sincere in communication with the class because robot-like
teachers are the most irritating ones. I tried not to be mechanical; therefore, I tried to use my voice
effectively. I tried to use the classroom space to get the interaction with the students.While doing
this, I paid attention not to be too close to the them. I was prepared and I had some necessary
materials with me.

However, I was so nervous that I missed some points. Instead of saying “Have you ever
experienced something interesting about your culture?”, I could have said “Imagine that you have
gone to Paris/Roma/ India etc. What would you experience there?” This would be more concrete and
more specific for the students to make it meaningful. This is what Cem Hoca advised me and what I
will take into consideration. Also my friends comments were very useful for me to observe my own
mistakes.
