POSTAL INSPECTORS OFFER REWARD
FOR INFORMATION RELATED TO LA CRESCENTA BURGLARY
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest
and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for the burglary at the La Crescenta Post
Office. The Post Office, located at 3300 Foothill Road, La Crescenta, CA was burglarized at
approximately 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011. The Postal Inspection Service is
offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the
individual(s) who burglarized the La Crescenta Post Office.
The burglary was captured on video and one suspect appeared to be a black male
approximately six feet tall. He was wearing a plaid shirt, jeans, boots, a purple team cap,
and possibly wearing a mask. Photo available on Inspection Service website

urged to contact Postal Inspectors at 877-876-2455, select option 2, refer to Case No.
1861003. Callers may remain anonymous.
Customers who deposited mail at the La Crescenta Post Office between the hours of 5:00
p.m. Saturday, January 8 and 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011 are encouraged to
submit a Mail Theft and Vandalism Complaint either at their local Post Office, online at
postalinspectors. uspis.gov of by calling 1-877-876-2455, option 3.
Burglary of a Post Office is a federal crime and offenders shall be fined or imprisoned not
more than five years, or both. The suspect(s) may face additional charges for mail theft and
identity theft. Postal Inspectors urge the public to report suspicious individuals or suspicious
activity near or around Postal facilities, to the Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455,
select option 2.
This crime is being investigated by Postal Inspectors and the Glendale Police Department.
