OUR TRIP TO LAKE DISTRICT

On the 5th of September we went to the Lake District. We left York at half past nine and we
arrived at the Lake District at about half past one. The journey was great, the road a little
bit difficult and some of us felt really sick, but it was all right because the landscape was
fantastic. All was green and peaceful and there were lots of fields and forests. There were
many goats and sheep. There are lots of lakes and streams. In the Lake District there the
tallest mountains in England too. The Lake District is also one of the most rainy places in
England.
At first we went to Windermere, and there we had a great lunch. After that we went to
Grassmere, the village of Wordsworth, and we recited the poem “The daffodils”. Next we
went to another village with a very beautiful lake. There we made a boat trip on the lake
that was fantastic!
