One Year Later...

All you need to do is see the letters H A I T I and instantly you think
back to where you when you found out about earthquake... and then the
thoughts and emotions come flooding back to the first moment that you
saw the mighty destruction caused by the earthquake.

No doubt as you watch the images from this video

pause and think 'How could this ever have happened?'

But the question I would like to leave in your mind is 'What would you
do to recover if it happened to YOU?"

In everyday/every moment there are people who go through the pain and
trauma of what an earthquake brings... destruction, loss, heartache,
despair, fear, anger, and distrust. It's just that we don't call it by the same
name.

So as we pause for a moment to remember the terrible tragic events that

occurred at 16:53pm (local time) on 12 January 2010, let's also think of
those that we personally/informally know of who have suffered
destruction, loss, heartache, despair, fear, anger, and distrust.

Let's remember that we are on earth but for one purpose... TO

SERVE (EACHOTHER).

One hand may not be able to clap on its own but it can certainly help to
dry the tears from another's eye's; give a thumbs-up encouragement to
another person's challenges; give comfort to another person.

You didn't need me to tell you all this... you just needed a reminder to
realise how Blessed, Loved, Safe and Secure You Are!

I hope you'll be able to share this note with all those who you know need
to be reminded too.
