ACC 5021: FINANCE THEORY AND PRACTICE

MSc ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

TERM PAPER

Instructions

As you know, our theme for ACC 5021 is Finance Theory and
Practice. I would therefore ask individual MSc students to write
a ‘term paper’ within the theme of ACC 5021. The paper
should be:-

(i) within the broad framework of Finance Theory

and Practice

(ii) in any area of Finance. In this way, the paper

would reflect the likelihood of practical
application of Finance Theories and Best
Practices to specific work situations/providing
solutions to practical problems

(iii) in not more than four (4) word-processed pages

(iv) Students working for the same institution (e.g.
NSSF, NBC, etc) should write different topics

 You may wish to organise the paper in the following
order:-

Title (The Agenda)

Introduction 30%

Theory and Practice 25%

Discussions 25%

Recommendations 20%

The date for submitting the assignment (word processed) is

Monday January 4th, 2010. Chair persons should submit
the Term Papers with list of names to the secretary DAF
on this date.

Note that submission might be preceded by presentation
