Evaluations
What was I pleased about?

Where the planned learning objectives achieved? How do I know? If


not, why not?

Did the lesson cover TTA the standards I set, or any other? How do I
know?

How did my personal organisation impact on the lesson?

How effective were the differentiation strategies I used?

Was my questioning effective? How did pupils respond to questioning?


Were they all involved?

How good were my communication skills? Did I use appropriate


vocabulary, give clear instructions and demos, choose examples well?
Did I manage the class effectively? What interventions were used and
how effective were they? Do I need to target particular pupils next
lesson?
Was the lesson well-paced? Were my planned timings realistic?
Why/Why not?
Did I use resources effectively? Were they appropriate for these pupils?
What evidence was there of pupil motivation/interest in the lesson?
Did pupils settle smoothly at transition changes? Did I signal these
clearly?
Were there any surprises? What?
Was it necessary to change tack in the lesson? Why?
What evidence was there of pupil errors and misconceptions? Did I pay
good attention to these and try to remedy them? Do I need to address
any next lesson?
Did the pupils make progress? How much? How do you know? If not,
why not?
Notes/points for the next lesson e.g. who to target with questions, who
missed the lesson, who owes homework etc…?
What would you change if you had to do this lesson again?
