Resultant Force

F=ma

Objects usually have more than one force acting on them at any time.
If both the forces are acting in a straight line:
We can add or subtract the forces to show the overall effect on the object
called the resultant force.

If both forces are working in the same direction we add them together.
Force A + Force B = Resultant Force
2N + 4N = 6N

If the forces are working in opposite directions we subtract them. 


Force A - Force B = Resultant Force
4N - 2N = 2N
